For more than twenty years, Stephanie’s Restaurant Group has run popular dining institutions for Boston locals, visitors, and business travelers looking for a hearty meal and modern, craft cocktails. That history continues at each of Stephanie’s three restaurants, where guests are warmly welcomed for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
While Stephanie’s Restaurant Group has long cooked up cuisine at the cutting edge, when the company came to Digital Impulse, its website was outdated and not ready for today’s mobile-first, social media-addicted foodies. To match the company’s trademark “sophisticated comfort food,” Stephanie’s needed a website serving up a user experience that’s clean, classy, and Instagram-ready.

Leveraging intelligent information architecture and cutting edge, thoroughly Instagram-able design, we built a site focused on the user experience, and created the infrastructure necessary to boost engagement and drive reservations.

The old location websites were built for a pre-mobile internet, so our priority was to create a future-proof, responsive design that was intuitive and seamless across all devices. We optimized the experience based on user intent, highlighting restaurant hours, what’s on the menu, and how to make a reservation. Digital Impulse also directed professional on-location photography to put Stephanie’s delectable food and dining environments front and center.
To personalize the experience based on restaurant location, we created separate, SEO-friendly microsites within the root domain. With the new site structure, we not only drove increased organic traffic, but were able to reflect the unique personality of each restaurant while preserving brand consistency.
From creme brulee to craft cocktails, Stephanie’s Restaurant Group goes all in on everything it does. So it only made sense to pair the website redesign with a launch campaign to re-engage regulars and introduce first-time customers to the brand.
